Backgrounder

Degrees of provocation are the measure of art’s value. What is the emotion elicited? What action is the response. A point of view is the basis for action. Provocation comes when we seek it (validation), or when we least expect it (revelation). When the change comes, how will you respond?

Postcards from the Front is a collection of collage/montage pieces arranged as vintage, stock postcards. While the artist has a viewpoint, the cards will prompt the viewer in any number of unintended ways. The key is first to see, then think, then act toward change. Viewer, know thy self.

About the Artist

Visual artist and activist, C0RN3L1U5, in unflinching in the quest to invoke reaction, leading to change. Status quo is tentative, held in place by opposing forces whose only legitimacy comes from awareness and transparency.
